What is the best way to remind immigration caseworkers to hurry up?

Is calling them on the phone the best way? We recently sent some letters to the immigration authorities, and were told to fax in the letters instead - yet found it was impossible to do so - we tried it! What numbers should be called? One of those 800 numbers that they have, or something different?

1. I wish I could answer this for you. ICE can be among the most difficult agencies with which to work. I know my sympathy does not solve your problem but you certainly have it.
