Is the gay right issue less important than illegal immigration to you?
I live in California and we see these demonstrations about prop8 about gay mariage (despite the vote of the people) as if they want to overturn it I think we must save mariage and stop these rallies. Because for me we have bigger issues to deal with in MEXifornia, like illegal immigration which ravages our state. Which issue is the most important for you? Isnt illegal immigration a far more important issue in southern states?

- absolutely! The gay issue is a non-issue!
- I agree with your viewpoint
- i do not agree.people have the right to be happy.californians have prevented this human right.shame on you.you have brought this upon yourselves.
- I believe the gay rights issue is more important. I am against Prop 8. It's hateful and discriminating and I've cried so much when I learned that it had passed. The United States of America not only has to worry about illegal immigrants but also the rights of every American citizen, including gays and lesbians.
- i was wondering if illegal immigrant can use this gay marriage to obtain legal status. we all know that this is the easiest way to obtain citizenship. right now with the legality of gay marriage there are more options for the immigrants. before if your a girl you wont have to bother finding a boy to marry just simply find another girl (gay or not) in 3 weeks you got your papers, divorce and go on with their lives. thus giving a lot more option for them to come in. please note when getting married, authorities marriage doesn't check if you are cousins or not. see the whole picture. the more option now the more they dare to come in. and how do they check if they are really gay ot just doing this for financial gain.
- If the economy continues to tank nobody is going to want to sneak across the border anyway. Proposition 8 is about nothing but bigotry and they have every right to protest the bill. I certainly didn't hear about any protests when the state was making millions from the marriages. I would much rather live next door to a gay couple who loved each other than a busybody who was sneaking their nose into everyone else's business.
- Personally, gay marriage is important to me, because its so stupid. I mean to say, banning it is stupid. Why do we live in a world where everyone gets to vote of the love lives of a bunch of strangers? How does that come out as fair? Gay people didn't vote on all you straight people's romances.
- They really need to come up with a cure for that disease, but untill then shove them back in the closet where they belong!
- Sorry to break it to you, but EVERYONE in this country is an "illegal immigrant" or an ancestor there of. I'm from California as well, and I KNOW that immigration is what makes our country GREAT. Without immigration, not one of us (except for Native Americans) would be in this country. Think about all the families that came here for refuge. The Italians, the Jewish populations, the Mexicans...Your heritage came here for a better life too. It's silly to DENY this right. "The Right to Move" is a human right as recognized by the United Nations. But I guess it makes sense because you seem to be okay with taking away other peoples rights. And regarding Prop 8. I don't believe this should EVER have gotten to the voters. At one time, it was against the law to marry someone of a different race as you. If that ever went to the voters, all the whites would vote to keep this as a law. Women weren't allowed to vote. If this was taken to the voters, all the men would have voted to keep women from voting. This is an issue of rights. Of whether people can see the person they love in the hospital when they're in an emergency. Of whether they can be who GOD CREATED THEM TO BE! Gay rights is an IMMENSELY greater issue because they are simply about the right to LOVE. to BE.
