What are some reasons immigration should be illegal?

I have to do a debate for school on why immigration should be illegal. I hope no one gets offended by this because i think ppl should have the right to choose where they want to live, but unfortunately i didnt get that option. Help please!

1. immigration is illegal...just use the exisitng laws
2. Can't think of a single reason to make immigration illegal per se, we just need tighter controls on who gets in and we need to enforce the laws we have on the books.

Because of the many free social services , free schooling, health care etc. ,uncontrolled immigration of poor, uneducated , criminal and sick people can put a tremendous financial strain on a country and can endanger the population. If everyone was required to have a health and criminal background check and was required to pull their own weight , immigration could be a benefit.
4. Lack of all natural resources. Just think about this: If we continue at our current LEGAL ONLY record pace of immigration we will hit 600 million people in the US within around 60 years. Almost all of that growth is due to immigration. Without immigration our population would be fairly stable and sustainable for hundreds of years. So the future and legacy we are leaving our kids/grand kids is bleak. At 600 million there will be no fresh water. Any area that has water will have to ship it to other areas so those people can just survive. There will be no washing of cars, watering of lawns or other greenery. Much of our water goes toward farms now but that will have to shift to people instead, which will mean we will have to depend on other nations - who will also be going through the same problems. Many areas of the country already have water rationing today - what do YOU think will happen when our population doubles and demand for water doubles??? At 600 million there will be no energy products for most uses unless our standard of living is dropped substantially. Even considering dramatic tech improvements we won't have enough space for windmills or solar collectors - there will be people in all of those areas. At 600 million we will have no place for landfills. We will have no place to treat our waste water. We will have no food producers. We will have no ability to provide schooling, medical, or any infrastructure. We can't keep pace now and the cost of those things is FAR FAR outstripping inflation. But if we allow an amnesty for the illegal immigrants here now we will hit that number at least 10-20 years earlier. large scale population growth is scary stuff.
5. I dont know any reason to stop and make it illegal to migrate anywhere all over the would. There is many reason to migrate: explore other countries, meet people, different culture and languages and also economic reasons. If some people feel themselves better somewhere else they should have a right to move. I live in US but Ive travel a lot to Europe and Asia etc and if I could I would move somewhere out of here. My reason is i used to live here too long and I feel it`s time for changes. I would pick Costa Rica or Australia.

Drugs,not enough jobs for everyone,over population.Lots of foreigners move here and think we should change our culture.They move into an area,they cannot speak english,so they send there kids to school.The school has to teach them english which cost tax payers money.The teachers need to know 2 languages or they cant find a job.Hell yes i am talking about all the illegal mexicans.I cannot stand them.I wish they would move back to there sorry country.Just think if all 20 million would leave everybody could find a job.There country is screwed so know there screwing up ours.

People are migrate since the beginning and they are always will! Period. Ooo, I am so sorry for this poor teachers! My heart goes out to them!:((( Now, guess what??! In Europe even the hospitality workers must speak/read/write fluent at least 3-4 languages to get a job.
9. People DO have the right to choose where they live... Duh. The legal/illegal part? That is a choice. Your parents made poor choices. They need to take responsibility for those poor choices and teach you right from wrong in the process. Your teacher is not a racist for giving you this assignment. S/he is doing his/her job and teaching. Getting the students to THINK. Sounds like s/he is doing a great job. S/he is probably frustrated like every other American and LEGAL immigrant is.
10. Well the do have the right to live where they where born BUT if they come to another country without going by their laws then they don't have the right to destroy their economy take away from what is rightfully someones that is a LEGAL citizen of that country.These bleeding heart teachers that want to justify someone breaking a law by having a child write a report about why these people are soo depressed and needs to go somewhere for the BETTER LIFE while destroying the lives of the people of the country they go to.Maybe you should debate about how these people have bankrupt California and are on the way of doing this to Texas and Arizona.If we took away the welfare would they stay or come You can bet your butt they wouldn't it.
