How do immigration officers can find when illegal alians leave the US?
Since The US immigration officers at the airport don't check the passports of foreigners who are leaving the US, how do they know how long each foreigners have stayed in the US? Foreigners who've overstayed could pretend not to have overstayed when they come to the US next time, could they?

- Every US airport that I have been through requires the passenger (foreigner or not) to produce a passport when journeying outside the US. It is run through a computer at the ticket counter. A stamp is usually applied at that point, signifying depature from the US. Certainly the US has a better system in place than just relying on the passport holder that they haven't overstayed their visa!
- The airline collected the I-94 from your passport and every flight and passenger list is now logged
- Visa overstayers are always ignored, especially the the anti-immigration activist.Maybe because the blend is (if you know what I mean)?
- Airlines are supposed to collect the I-94 record and also capture details from the traveler's passport. However, if the person is leaving by road (to Canada or Mexico), no record is captured by US immigration, only Canadian or Mexican authorities check the passport.
