How do I get to the New Brunswick train station from route 18 North? do you buy your tickets there?

  1. I would assume you're talking about New Jersey transit and NJ state-route 18 in central NJ. From 18 north, it's pretty easy. Take the Raritan Ave / Albany St exit, also known as state-route 27 and county-route 514 (blue pentagon-shaped sign). Head WEST (second exit off rt 18). If coming south on 18 it would've been a tad trickier. I also don't know if you want NJ transit tickets, or Amtrak tickets, because the station serves both NJ transit as well as Amtrak. Luckily New Brunswick has manned ticket offices, but they somtimes close for lunch, so you've been warned. Here are the hours, also available on http://www.njtransit.com/ti/ti_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=TvmTo The NJ transit northeast corridor might be cheaper than amtrak, depending on what your final destination is (new york, philly, etc.) The corridor's timetable can be found at http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/r0070.pdf One more warning: There's a $5 surcharge if you buy your tickets on the NJ Transit train. The surcharge is added when either the ticket booth is open, or there were ticket vending machines (TVM's) available, and there are seven of them at this station.
